Junior Medical Frontend Expert

• Participate in the development, installation and commissioning of a safety critical subsystem ("medical frontend") of our particle therapy accelerators
• Contribute to technical product documentation needed for certification, installation, commissioning and operation
• Participate in the systems engineering process for the medical frontend including elaboration of requirements, test strategies and risk analysis in accordance with the Medical Device Regulation and associated standards
• Provide expert level support for the medical frontend (on-call) and participate in debugging and quality assurance tasks

Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Completed academic studies (Bachelor, Master, DI or PhD) in Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar

• Good understanding of complex systems (Interplay between multiple soft- and hardware systems)
• Knowledge of medical standards (EN/IEC 60601 family, EN/IEC 62304, ISO 13485, MDR) and state of the art safety technology is an asset
• Fluency in verbal and written English; German is an advantage
• Programming languages such as Python, C++ and LabView are an asset
• Solid MS Office knowledge
• Willingness to work on call (up to 5 days per month)
• Willingness to work in shifts (up to 20% of working time)
• Analytical skills and an affinity for facts and figures
• You are a flexible person with an independent and structured approach to work

For legal reasons, we are obliged to point out that the minimum gross annual salary for this position is € 46,200. However, our attractive salary packages are based on current market salaries.
