Job description
- Visual Design for Product Experiences:
- Create high-quality visual assets, layouts, and UI components across Cerence's product portfolio.
- Maintain consistency within xUI and CA design systems while contributing to visual evolution and refinements.
- Visual Specification Support:
- Support xUI/CA specifications by delivering polished visual examples, screens, and visual guidelines.
- Translate interaction concepts into clear, developer-ready visual specifications.
- Motion, Video & Storytelling:
- Produce concept videos and experience walkthroughs that communicate product vision and user journeys.
- Design simple motion prototypes or animations to illustrate behavior, feedback, and transitions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers, engineering teams, and marketing to ensure cohesive visual communication.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Visual Design, Communication Design, HMI Design, or related fields.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design, visual systems, and motion/interaction design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, or similar.
- Experience creating storyboards, design specifications, and visual guidelines.
- Strong sense of visual hierarchy, typography, iconography, and branding.
- Interest in automotive HMI, multimodal interfaces, or emerging mobility tech is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
