Job description
- Your team is responsible for everything from concept, design and implementation to operation ("You build it, you run it").
- You define the roadmap for our common infrastructure team based on the needs of our other engineering teams.
- You collaborate closely with the domain leadership team and align the roadmap of your team with others
- You establish a network to other platform teams inside STACKIT and look for synergies
- You contribute your deep understanding of infrastructure and operational responsibility to your team and consult the other teams as well
- You support our teams in all things regarding observability to establish solid application monitoring
- You work hands-on together with the engineers of your team
- As an experienced engineer and manager, you will coach and mentor your fellow team members in building up and expanding their knowledge
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * We are looking for team players with a warm heart and and open-mind who like to challenge the status quo and constantly develop themselves and their team
- You feel comfortable in a young and dynamically growing company, even though, or perhaps because, there is not yet a process for everything
- Agile software development is your thing, as is enthusiasm for cloud technologies
- You are also strong in working conceptually and express your thoughts and ideas in writing
- In your career, you have played a key role in platform engineering and / or strong experience with modern cloud and infrastructure technologies
- You have a sound kubernetes knowlege especially regarding cluster operations
- Ideally, you have good understanding of lower-lever systems such as virtualisation layers
- You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), such as Terraform or Pulumi, and understand how to define and deploy infrastructure reliably
- You are familiar with GitOps strategies and ideally have contributed to their implementation
- You have experience with CI/CD practices and tools like Helm or Kustomize, and deployment pipelines
- You bring a practical understanding of modern cloud and infrastructure technologies and are eager to apply and expand your knowledge within the team
