Network Security Engineer

This role is well suited to an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on work, infrastructure setup, and collaborating closely with on-site teams., * Support the design, setup, and maintenance of office network infrastructure

• Assist with server setup and configuration
• Work hands-on with internal teams and external contractors, providing guidance on wiring, cabling, and hardware installation
• Support the rollout and setup of two new office locations in Hasselt
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VLAN-managed networks, and general network security controls
• Troubleshoot network, server, and connectivity issues as they arise
• Work extensively within Linux-based environments
• Ensure systems are documented and maintained in line with internal standards

• Experience or strong interest in network engineering / IT infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, VLANs, and office networks
• Comfortable working on-site and providing practical, hands-on support
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in English
• Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and external vendors

Desirable / Nice to Have:

• Exposure to network security concepts
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Check Point environments
• Experience working in regulated, technical, or engineering-led industries
• Interest in aerospace, satellite systems, or high-reliability environments, * Collaborative, engineering-focused working environment
